Known worldwide as an epochal rock and heavy metal band, Legs Diamond, named after a 1920s gangster of the same name, originated in Los Angeles in 1975. After releasing three popular albums, the original band broke up, but reformed in 1984 after their original albums gained a loyal following. Since then, they have released ten studio albums and toured all over the United States and Europe. This year, they will be headlining at Tierra Sagrada Rock Fest at the new Boeing Center at Tech Port alongside another San Antonio favorite, Moxy.

Formed in Toronto in 1974, the Canadian-bred heavy metal band Moxy first exploded into the scene with their hit song "Can't You See I'm a Star." After their hit album, Moxy saw success touring the U.S. with the likes of such artists as Boston, Styx, AC/DC, Black Sabbath, and Rainbow just to name a few. They now tour with hits off of their eight studio albums, making San Antonio a regular stop.

Popularized in San Antonio in the late seventies and early eighties by influential disk jockey, "The Godfather of Rock" Joe Anthony, Legs Diamond and Moxy became local favorites for rock lovers all over town. Their music is still an unstoppable force in San Antonio with hits like Moxy's "Can't You See I'm A Star" and "Moon Rider," and Legs Diamond's "Stage Fright" and "Woman" remaining on the daily rotation at many Texas radio stations.
