FORCECON Gaming Expo & Esports Championship is Texas’ largest military gaming expo. Hosted over Memorial Day weekend, the event celebrates the intersection of technology, innovation, and the US Armed Forces. From epic esports championships (including Halo: Infinite, Fortnite, and Rocket League) hosted by the industry’s best celebrity talent, to interactive gaming exhibits and world-class musical acts, the event offers a weekend of fun for the whole family.
FORCECON will provide a global platform for state-of-the-art artificial intelligence, virtual and augmented reality, and cybersecurity technologies tailored for military use. Technologies presented during this portion of FORCECON via pitches, product demonstrations and other programming, may be adopted by the US military for future operations.
As part of the weekend's exciting festivities, ASM Global will host a Halo: Infinite Armed Forces Esports Championship (featuring US Air Force, US Army, US Coast Guard, US Marine Corps, US Navy, and US Space Force), plus a $10,000 public open-bracket Halo:Infinite LAN tournament inside Tech Port's LAN Gaming Center on May 27 and 28. The winner of the public tournament will be invited to compete against the US Air Force gaming team on May 29 on the main stage in the Boeing Center at Tech Port.
“FORCECON merges the military and tech community in a meaningful way," said Will Garrett, Port San Antonio’s Vice President of Talent and Technology Development and Integration. "Many of the systems on display will reinforce and enhance existing military operations nationwide. This approach will help our nation chart new horizons in how our defense community operates and, in particular, how we develop the talent of our armed forces.”
"FORCECON flexes the Boeing Center at Tech Port's versatility as a multi-purpose entertainment venue," said Eric Blockie, Boeing Center at Tech Port General Manager.
"This convention will put regional tech companies on the radar of our military, creating economic opportunities. The public is also invited to experience these technologies first-hand, and enjoy the amenities our venue has to offer. We invite gamers, music fans, and tech enthusiasts of all ages to join us for FORCECON."
FORCECON tickets are available now at the Boeing Center at Tech Port website.
